Last week I had the opportunity to visit Heckfield Place, a Georgian estate converted into a 45 room luxury getaway in Hampshire, United Kingdom. All I can say is that it surpassed every expectation of mine, and I'm dying to get back.
Designed by Ben Thompson, the estate underwent 12 years of renovations, perfecting every detail. There is only one word that can describe the style and decor of the estate and that is "Timeless".
Art connoisseurs will marvel at the pieces throughout the estate. The Chan family, owners of the estate, use the property to house a portion of their extensive art collection, and apparently alternate pieces as their collection grows.
In addition to the stunning interiors, Heckfield Place has its own farm onsite. Using their own seasonal produce, the restaurants and bars tailor their menus to offer only the freshest and best recipes for their guests. Let me just tell you that everything was amazing, but I am in LOVE with the bread and fresh butter they serve!
On another note, I cannot stress how AMAZING the service was. Every staff member was so kind, attentive, and a true pleasure to be around. I felt like they were my friends, and really made us feel so welcome. From the moment I entered Heckfield Place, it was as if I was transported to a carefree universe. It was by far the most relaxed I've been in years.
You can bet that I will be back, hopefully sooner rather than later! If you or anyone you know is interested in staying at Heckfield Place, contact us at travel@naturalasthetik.com for special promotions and offers.
